Franz Ferdinand Supports Green Party

Franz Ferdinand is lending its music to commercials supporting an environmentally friendly political party.

The band gave the nod to Britain’s Green Party to use its “This Fire,” taken from last year’s self-titled debut (Domino) (read Aversion’s review), will play in the background of television commercials supporting the eco-conscious party. The band, which is in the studio working on its sophomore effort, lent the music to the party’s advertisements free of charge.
