3 Doors Down Honored At BMI Pop Awards

Performing rights organization BMI honored 3 Doors Down with its Song of the Year Award for "Here Without You." King of Crunk Lil Jon received the Songwriter of the Year, and songwriter and performer Paul Simon was named a BMI Icon. The writers and publishers of the 50 most performed songs of the past year were also recognized during the event held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.

3 Doors Down's "Here Without You" won BMI Pop Song of the Year, and songwriters and band members Brad Arnold, Todd Harrell, Chris Henderson, and Matt Roberts were on hand to accept the award. The Pop Song of the Year award goes to the song that received the most feature broadcast performances during the eligibility period. "Here Without You" is from the 3 Doors Down album, "Away From the Sun."
